Service Description

ACC Advocacy & Decision Review Written Case Review — One-Off ACC decisions can be difficult to interpret — especially when reports, letters, or assessments don’t align with your lived reality. This one-off service provides clear, independent analysis of your ACC situation, delivered through a written review so you can understand what’s happening, where responsibility has shifted, and what realistic options exist from here. This is not ongoing case management or emotional support. It is focused, document-based advocacy designed to give you clarity and direction for results. How it works 1. Initial intake (brief discussion) We meet online or by phone to clarify the scope of your situation, identify the key decisions or concerns, and confirm what documents are required for review. 2. Document submission You provide relevant ACC correspondence, reports, assessments, or background information. 3. Case review & analysis I review your documents carefully, identify gaps, inconsistencies, or process failures, and assess your position within ACC’s decision-making framework. 4. Written decision review & recommendations You receive a clear written summary outlining: what the decision means in practical terms where issues may have been overlooked or mishandled what options are available (review, complaint, escalation, or acceptance) recommended next steps based on your circumstances What you receive: A clear explanation of your ACC position Independent analysis of decisions and reports Identification of gaps, errors, or responsibility transfer Practical next-step options, written in plain language Clarity without jargon, pressure, or emotional labour Service details: Fee: $150 NZD (flat rate for initial consult and 3 hours for review & recommendations) Format: Initial intake + document review + written recommendations Turnaround: Typically 5–7 working days Delivery: Written report (no ongoing sessions included) You don’t need to decipher ACC processes alone. If you’ve received a decision that doesn’t sit right — or you’re unsure what to do next — this service is designed to help you understand the terrain and choose your next step with confidence. While this service is grounded in ACC advocacy, I occasionally apply the same decision-review approach to other systems (such as disability support, health, housing, or education) where formal decisions or correspondence need careful interpretation. Availability outside ACC is assessed on a case-by-case basis.
